Nothing chimes with my ideas for how things should be.
Every year brings diminishing returns
With little imagination
Living is a slow deconstruction
Who knew this year would be worse than the last?
Fazed and disappointed by the future that is past.
It doesn’t matter what we think or what we do or say
It all happens anyway

Damaging attempts to comprehend the human race
Looking out the window doesn’t bring any sense
Of understanding
Everything’s exhausting.
Every time I try and write a Christmas song
There’s always deep frustration
Every time I try and do something
It feels like a humiliation
Every time I actually achieve something
It’s a feeling I’ll never remember

It just sounds like late December.
